Your First Class

What to Expect.

01

A Warm Welcome

Your child will be greeted by name and introduced to their classmates. Instructors are trained to make every new student feel comfortable — no pressure, no spotlight, just a friendly environment to explore.

02

Structured Skill-Building

Each class focuses on specific martial arts techniques appropriate for your child's stage. Instructors use games, drills, and partner work to build real skills while keeping energy high and attention engaged.

03

Life Lesson of the Day

Every class closes with a brief lesson on a life skill — respect, perseverance, leadership, or self-control. It's one of the things parents notice most: the values from the mat start showing up at home and school.

Kids Martial Arts

Common Questions.

What age can my child start?

Our Kids Martial Arts program is designed for ages 5 and up. For ages 3.5–4.5, we offer our Rocksters preschool program. We'll help you find the best fit based on your child's age and readiness.

My child is shy — will they be okay?

Rockstar was literally founded for that child. Instructors are trained to bring shy, hesitant kids out of their shell — slowly, on their terms. Most parents are amazed at the change they see within the first few weeks.

How is this different from other kids sports?

Individual progress is the focus — not winning a game. Your child advances at their own pace, earns their own belts, and builds a personal relationship with their instructor. There's no bench and no sideline.

How often should my child attend?

Most of our students attend 2–3 times per week. Consistency matters more than frequency — a child who shows up regularly twice a week will progress faster than one who attends sporadically.

What if my child wants to quit after a few classes?

Stick with it for 30 days. Almost every parent who follows that advice comes back and says it was the best decision they made. The initial hesitation is completely normal — breakthroughs usually happen around week 3 or 4.
